.404" Rapid Micro Harvester (RMH): Special saw chain for efficient mechanical timber harvesting
With the STIHL .404" Rapid Micro Harvester (RMH) saw chain, you can work comfortably and reliably when felling trees mechanically. With this special version of the Rapid Micro chain, professionals in forestry can efficiently fell and delimb trees using special machines (harvesters) in mechanical logging. The semi-chisel saw chain with slender, side-flattened tooth shape reduces cutting resistance and offers high cutting performance and at the same time low vibration.
In addition, all saw chain parts that are under strain, in particular the connecting links, drive links and rivet pins, are heavily reinforced, so the chain is very robust to withstand the high stresses in the timber harvester. Lower tension reduces crack formation when using the durable and long-lasting saw chain. This means you benefit from a very long service life with the STIHL .404" Rapid Micro Harvester (RMH) chain. The harvester saw chain with a drive link thickness of 1.6 mm (0.063") is also characterised by a low chattering tendency.
